As a part of the ongoing summer reading program at East Regional Library in Knightdale, children worked on their reading skills with a special friend as a part of an exercise called “See Spot Run.”

The children on hand sat with their parents, who looked on proudly as they read through the book of their choosing in two separate groups with a trained dog listening intently as their reading buddies.  The kids petted the dogs and took great delight in telling them the stories that they read through.
