Lions “Roar” to Title

Continuing to dominate their opponents throughout their early spring schedule, the Capital Area Soccer League’s (CASL) U11 Boys Lions team traveled to Winston Salem with great results as they breezed through four games on their way to the Beat the Heat Tournament championship.
After a 3-2 victory in the first round, the Lions outscored their opponents by a 19-8 margin over the three contests that followed to emphatically stake claim to the first place prize at “Beat the Heat.” The strong showing in Winston Salem was a continuation of the early season success the Lions have been enjoying, as their high-powered offense and aggressive defense have led them to the top of the CASL standings at an unblemished 5-0-2 mark in division play.
