Kicking off the Season with a Bang

The Wendell Parks and Recreation Department kicked off of their 2012 baseball season with a day filled with activities, food, and games at Wendell Park as a part of “Opening Day.”

Teams from all age groups within the Wendell baseball program took to the fields throughout the day, getting their first taste of live game action on the spring season.

In addition to baseball, their were plenty of other ways for the entire family to stay entertained at the event, with inflatables and a dunk booth keeping the youngsters smiling all morning long. A wide variety of vendors were also on hand selling clothing, hats, food, and drinks.
