With four consecutive wins to open the spring season in grand fashion, the Greater Cleveland Athletic Association’s (GCAA) Cleveland Angels ’01 10U Girls Softball team slugged their way to the “Relay for Life” tournament championship.

With a power packed lineup, sound defense, and a dominating pitching staff, the Angels ran over all competitors on their way to the “Relay” championship. Cleveland manager, Carlos Womack and his coaches, Michael Hunt and Jamey Gilchrist are very optimistic on the teams’ chances to continue battling for championships throughout the year as the Angels prepare for an upcoming USSSA tournament on the weekend of April 14 before heading to Kenly for another weekend of tough competition April 21.

Starring for the ’01 Championship squad are, Madison Wolinski, Chloe Baker, Peyton Jenkins, Emma Daley, Anna Kate Gilchrist, Kayla Womack, Camryn Barbour, Brooke Davis, McKayla Hunt, Delaney O’Connor, Kolby Koonce, and Savannah Ridley.
