Rolesville Rolls to Victory
By Chris Gosek
Starting out their post-season play with a great all around effort, the Rolesville Park and Recreation 11-12 year old basketball all stars took an early lead and never looked back in an impressive 45-40 win over Zebulon.
The wide-open Rolesville offense saw every player on the talented squad contribute, with Josh Copeland pacing all scorers with a game high 16 points. Felix Mazi knocked in ten points and Ben Santa dropped eight to help put away a pesky Zebulon team. Garrett Champion chipped in five points, while Brandon Phillips and Tyler Clifton each had two to round out the scoring. Zack Abdkamn and Jordan Heath stepped up in the defensive zone for Rolesville, clamping down on the opposing shooters and playing very tough around the hoop.
Ken Copeland and Jeff Clifton are the coaches for the 11-12 Rolesville All Star squad this season.
