Cube Capers
By Chris Gosek
The Clayton Middle students in Ms. Creech’s class were using different colored cubes, doing experiments continuing with their math unit on probability.
Each student was given a bag that contained the cubes and was asked to begin by guessing what the outcome of their experiment would be. The kids gauged which color cube they saw most frequently and which they saw the least based on randomly drawing the objects from their bags fifty times. They recorded each trial as they moved through the experiment and once all students were finished they compared their findings as a class.
