Threading the Needle

The Interior Design class at Zebulon Middle has been taking the first steps in their lesson on sewing with Ms. Creech, learning the proper way to thread a needle this past week.

To begin this process, the kids each had a length of thread, a needle, and scissors. They first cut the thread to the length they wanted and next put the point of the thread through the needle’s eye. They touched on making a single and double thread in this lesson, too, making a basic knot for the single, and learning a tailor’s knot for the double thread.
