Sparks Fly to another Win

The Wendell Sparks 12U girls’ basketball team played a near perfect game this past weekend, showing a great defense and unselfish offensive play in routing the visiting Wake Forest Mystics by a score of 26-1.

Mikayla Booze, who swished in twelve points to lead all scorers, led the well-balanced Sparks attack. Nateleigh Kirby, Jamie Lindsay, and Latonya Hinton each added four points to Wendell’s triumphant performance, and Georgianna Barefoot chipped in two points. Olivia Huffman, Abby Goodheart, Keyonna Wooten, and Nuvia Maganda-Aguilar all played with great heart and hustle to help the Sparks notch the victory, also.
