Taking a look at Geometry

Starting with the basic fundamentals and working their way toward their very own video creations that they will present before their classmates upon completion, fifth grade math students at Selma Elementary are looking at geometry in class from all different angles.

Beginning the lesson by tackling vocabulary, the students then moved on to learning how to use measuring tools. The kids then used hand held video cameras to walk through the school and find examples of the angles and polygons across the Selma campus. Once they are done recognizing these things on the school grounds they will use their video footage to create a presentation on geometry that will be explained before their classmates.
