Preparing for an upcoming performance before family and friends later next week, Ms. Russell’s first graders at Briarcliff Elementary took on the role of actors and actresses as they rehearsed for the production of “Our Thanksgiving Play.”

With each member of the class getting a speaking role in the play, several students were very impressive with their reading skills in the part of narrator for the play. The “pilgrims” and “natives” were equally as entertaining as they get ready for their big debut on November 18. Additionally, the play contains many cool sound effects and the kids even built their very own “Mayflower” to set sail with during the show.
